Mate, a geo can't direct an RC drill hole.
What do you think they have? a remote control on the front of the drill head!

The Geo can only make sure that the initial start of the hole is in the correct spot after that only god can direct the front of that drill head.

It can be a few variables as to where the drill hole goes. Like how old the head is on the drill and the hardness of the rock that the drill is going through.

When the drill hits these hard sections the drill and rods can be sent in other directions.

You can get specialist down hole survey's done on the holes. Back 12 years ago it was around 2 grand a day for the guy to be there doing the down hole orientation survey's.
Most of the time, when we had one following us around, he was watching movies all day.

Even though they say the drill is going in such and such a direction often it is pushed off in another and moves like a snake.
Thats just the nature of it.

Thus, nothing is perfect.

As my dad say's. It ain't a perfect world.........and thank god it ain't.
