Alkane Resources' share price could get a lift from the outcome of a scoping study for its Boda copper-gold deposit, reckons Bell Potter. That's partly because the market currently ascribes no value to Boda, and the study results are likely to come in 4Q of 2024 when spot gold and copper prices are strong, analyst Bradley Watson says in a note. "In the Notional Development Scenario we use to value Boda, spot commodity prices generate a post-tax net present value of A$1.5 billion," Bell Potter says.
