The strike zone is 30 metres wide (move one metres off that and you miss the strike zone).
Aside from digging a drainage sump 170 metres deep in the western end, the prior mention of depth in main pit is 125 metres.
When MGX took over the mine 20 years ago it was was 40 metres below sea level.
It has taken MGX 20 years to dig down to 85 metres, which equates to 4 metres per year.
Now Peter Kerr says he will take main pit to the next 150 to 200 metres.
