For those concerned about the relative lack of interest in ALK, from what I can tell this last month the volumes have been slightly above average (its difficult to know precisely because my EOD numbers usually only provided the ASX volume and not also the CBOE numbers). AND although today the SP has fallen, the volume is over double the average, which suggests to me that the shareholder profile is changing to more committed holders (I think the TA gurus might refer to that as accumulation). I think the next good trading day for gold stocks will give us a clearer picture. If ALK puts in a good performance,I'm inclined to think there will be good things to come. Fingers crossed.
