Tanami is different. Why? 1. There is already a processing plant there in C&M. That's what $200 mill worth? So on decision to restart mining its a pretty fast track. 2. They have about 2 million ounces at the two main deposits but there are a bunch of others scattered around there on the leases, most opencut already. 3. They have abut $25 million in the bank,and 500k shares in Northern Star currently about $7 million worth and rising. 4. It is now a 50:50 JV with Northern Star (Kalgoorlie Tier 1 miner) 3. Drilling is continuing and a fair bit of gold of reasonable grade is being picked up around the existing premixed cuts.
Question is whether N. Star wants to kickstart the operation. The numbers must be looking better all the time, but it is commonly suspected that NS is looking for another monster Granites type deposit like Newmont has just down the Tanami Rd. It might be a thing to boot it up and thus radically boost the share price and spin it off for a nice profit. It is selling at cash holding value. It is then the most ridiculously cheap punt on the gold board. Could be a rocket stock if they decide to move to production of say 100,000 ozs a year, plus there would likely be toll processing revenue from the PRX holding next door. Guess who sits on all three boards, MLX, TAM, and PRX? Who back him? Those who rescued MLX, and made it a nice focused earner.
