Pentarch Logistics and Eastern Iron have linked with a view to transporting magnetite from East Gippsland to the southern New South Wales port of Eden.

Both parties to cooperate on storage options of the product, and on utilisation of the port facilities at the Port of Eden.

Pentarch will investigate the storage and export up to 1.5 million tonnes a year from the Port of Eden.

Both parties have agreed to work together to investigate site modification and operating procedures for storage and product handing and loading.

So, EFE has been looking at the logistics since around 2019?? Five years on and nothing but a suspension?? The port has been mainly been used for exporting woodchip so somewhat foreign to exporting iron ore. Perhaps the reason the company keeps alluding to evaluating other projects - though no hot irons on that front either.
