You mean the same 'professionals' that regularly participate in capital raising and get smashed. I recent example I can think of was the CR by WGX in which Wayne Bramwell labelled them 'sophisticated investors'. I contacted him the day of the announced CR and blasted his timing and said: "We'll see how sophisticated they are" The rest is history, the shares were down by 70% not that long after.
The ONLY reason that funds make money is because they control the game. It has bugger all to do with being smart.
