Shell said their well flowed like a train. This does not sound like a chlorite problem. But you never know. Perhaps the flow rate went down, perhaps the flow damaged the reservoir, mobilizing some aluminum silicate minerals
Total perhaps got a high gas oil ratio. I think Total said the permeability is low (due to shale content in the sdst i.e. not clean sdst?) but the low viscosity of the oil allows a good flow rate.
The 14.000 bbls/d (limited by equipment) from the Galp well test Mopane, are the strongest proof. You get 14.000 bbl/d or higher only when you have a world class reservoir. But again you never know. This could be just a dinosaur fart i.e from a small reservoir compartent. But the results of the Galp appraisal wells will show us soon how big this Mopane could be.
And here we need the first exploration well ASAP. Go fast forward or it will become a lose lose (for Namibia, PCL, Woodside, perhaps for the major who is interested to farm in) because everybody will lose the early money. Fingers crossed that Saturn is a real monster big sweet spot.
