A good story Ttotired and thanks for sharing a bit of actual SLR history. Of late, a number of posters on here have been fixated on what the SLR share-price was at the time scrip was exchanged for RED scrip in the takeover, and they seem oblivious (or wish to ignore) how successful SLR had been for a couple of years leading up to the RED takeover.
You, on the other hand, bought (very) well and sold (relatively) well. Congrats - other than liars, I don't know anyone who's ever sold at "the top".
I'm sure everyone on this HotCopper thread hopes you do even better on your VAU investment than you did on your SLR outlay.
