Sometimes a Lazy CEO with i dont care attitude can be at the helm of a very profitable and growing company and sometimes a very smart, active and charismatic CEO can be at the help of a company doomed to fail.
This can occur due to market sector not doing well, products no longer relevant , domicile of the company, large debts ,earth quacks ,disease wiping out stock etc.
And for some companies the CEO are very important, for companies built on hot air with no real product just a dream then a good charistmatic CEO can make a differenc to the share price.
What i am saying is it not just black and white on what contribution the CEO can make to a company ,so many other factors come into play. Their are utube videos on this so perhaps google that.
