Applying a 'standard' metric to the evaluation of companies does not work. There are hundreds of companies on the ASX, all at diferent stages of development. It might be appropriate to apply your metric to a mature business that delivers the same revenue each year with no prospect for growth but it does not work for young, growing businesses.
