Hi there, as a the recent purchaser of a new Tesla 3 Performance, I went down down the rabbit hole on this when I was buying.
At the moment only some EVs have V2G (grid) and V2H (home) capability. Some have V2L (load).
The first two results in your battery charging and discharging quite regularly. EV Battery life is measured in cycles and this would accumulate quickly on an EV battery used for this purpose. They also need a bidirectional charger which is horrifically expensive at the moment ($5k plus).
Another thing to consider is the battery chemistry. NMC batteries have a shorter life (between 1-2k cycles)in this regard and aren't really suited to V2G/V2L. LFP batteries (3k plus cycles) are better suited to this application.
As battery tech advances (solid state) we should be able to get to well over 5k cycles on a battery which makes the V2H/G a more sensible proposition
