I think the debt sitting there probably caused too many questions and possibly negative perceptions because it was from crisis time terms sucked.
In webinar a while back maybe the EOFY one they discussed that paying it earlier had no difference to paying it later so only opportunity cost for having some extra cash in a term deposit or something.
