Not sure if you're following LK99 developments but it's extremely interesting... an ambient temperature ambient pressure superconductor... potentially the biggest scientific development of the last hundred years. This would revolutionise energy consumption and distribution among many other things. Seems like the initial study has been replicated twice now but still a way to go to fully verify this discovery. The material science involved is not exceedingly complicated but the results seem to be extraordinary. Hopefully 4ds are on track to do something in a similar vein.
