Well, (and Im trying to say this as nicely as I can), you got yourself to blame for that. For years the Faithful did a pile-on of anyone who had something negative to say about the Company and god forbid if anything negative was said about MO. And where did that get us? A very complacent Board, IMO, that happily watched the SP go from bad to worse, while making very few announcements and hardly ever (if ever) spoke about their roadmap towards commercialization.
What I think the longer-term holders are noticing now is that finally the company is making more frequent announcements and seems much more focused on a plan for commercialization. But how did that happen? Well I'll tell you how that happened. After MO's departure was announced, people started to speak up on this forum and I dare say on a number of other forums around the country.
But don't get me wrong, the Faithful still came out in force trying to shout down any dissenting voices, but only this time people had had enough (thank god) and despite the protestations of the Faithful more of us called for more announcements, so that we could be kept informed AND most importantly, called for the Company to develop a roadmap towards Commercialization. And lo and behold what happened today? Well after a series of more regular announcements than we have known for a long long time the Company announced that its developing that roadmap.
Yeah, yeah I know what the Faithful will say; as if they read what we say on these forums AND the lack of focus on commerilization probably had something to do with MO going and NOT because of anything we said. But we dont know that do we and coincidentally it's only after we raised our voices that the company has finally come to the party on developing a roadmap, along with issuing more frequent announcements.
Sure, they may not bother themselves to read what we say on these forums. But If they dont I want a board that does, so that our concerns for our investment are properly considered and one definite barrier to that happening is a culture of shouting down anyone who might have something critical to say about how the company is being run.
Oh and dont worry HongKongPhooey wont be insulted by anything Ive written because like most of us who once said something he disagreed with he's blocked me. What a great approach to share trading/investing don't you think.
