Those 2 "Australians" who p!**ed off with their Australian education to America, surprisingly repatriated back to Australia and are now again as Australian as vegemite after they and their American Company milked $1Billion from the Australian taxpayer.
It should come as no surprise that the ABC reporter and the Science Minister prepped for the questions about Australian taxpayer $$$$ going to an American company instead of being invested in an Australian home-based Company like AXE. Its disgusting and they know its disgusting. That's why they prepped. And how did they spin it? Oh these lovely Australians left Australia because Australia failed them but their heart was always in Australia and they came back as soon as they could for Australia's sake (oh, and the $1Billion? Well, that was just an aside).
So tell me, why shouldn't the Australian companies based here in Australia, like AXE, now feel that they have been failed by Australia because this AMERICAN COMPANY shoehorned its way into getting Australian govt $$$$ that Australian Companies should have got. Oh and if you think American politicians and American lobby groups weren't heavily involved with a direct back door line to the Australian Govt to get their $1Billion handout from Australia, I got a bridge on Sydney harbour I can sell you.
BTW does anyone know whether Australian Companies were informed that a $Billion was in the offing and whether they were even given a chance to compete for some of that money? Because frankly if interested parties in Australia knew nothing about it until the announcement was made, well that speaks volumes about how that AMERICAN COMPANY shoehorned its way into getting those monies.
