EY reported some $356 billion of branded sales worldwide risked patent expiration between 2023 and 2028. That's a massive revenue cliff for many of the big boys. With too little in house R&D expenditure as big Pharma become financialized, M&A activity the only real answer. Look at Johnson & Johnson’s acquisition of Intra-Cellular Therapies with its novel treatments, at USD $14.5 billion or GSK's announcement that it will acquire the biopharmaceutical company IDRx Inc at over USD $1 billion, already in 2025:
At a ridiculous $50 million mkt cap, the IP price alone of the mkt leader in IPSC's is such cheap value. Sure it may get passed over. But at that price, probably not.....and Killian being invited to present at the prestigious Biotech Showcase during JPM's biotech week may prove a likely catalyst to some M&A interest, IMO.
