The reason it’s not great is they are hitting 40k-50k positive cases in the UK daily. I’m not sure what they are doing with booster shots over there, or the 3 shots needed for Elderly +/- immunocompromised. The last I heard, 200 COVID deaths daily.
It could be a whole lot worse without vaccination rates, but with early vaccination & waning immunity, I guess you have to act quickly for the most vulnerable & learn from what is happening OS, including Israel.
Australia is already offering the 3rd shot needed for immunocompromised patients, then Aged Care & Frontline workers who were fully vaccinated in March 2021. Next in line on approval by ATAGI this week, pending review.
Still thinking of other countries & in particular those in Africa, Where the opportunity of vaccination remains very poor, hopefully improves soon from 3-5% with WHO efforts.
COVID-19 won’t be going anywhere sometime soon. Can only just do your best.
