As you all should know by now, the new geologist, Dr Stephen Rowins, is considered to be a porphyry expert. He has been with SPQ since September last year, and apparently on a full-time basis. You can check his cv out by googling his name.

What some of you may not know though is that he knows a lot about reduced porphyries. He is cited in the last BT report, simply as "Rowins 2000". I have delved into that and found the actual reference. It is quite short (4 pages) and you should be able to find it by googling its title, "Reduced porphyry copper-gold deposits: A new variation on an old theme".

I am about to read it again. I encourage those who are interested in learning about reduced porphyries to read and understand it. It seems that Dr Steve is a pioneering thinker on the subject.

I would say that he has been guiding the Board on how to tackle the exploration.

It bodes well imo.
