I wouldn't advocate or defend tax evasion for any reason including a possibly low probability of getting caught..... read the link, understand the concept and talk to an accountant. Your circumstances may change in 24 hours sure, but claiming the capital loss thereafter is going to be problematic by law, and what was originally quoted that I replied to was a deliberate wash sale. Terrible advocacy.

My broader point is, we need to take care with our posts because people may read them and trade accordingly.
