a simple thought experiment. Imagine you are in SL competing for mining of graphite:
1. would you be aware of competitors and their goings-on?
2. would you take steps to strengthen your position, improve your product and quality?
3. being aware that a competitor had a contract for buying something at $2000 and you could sell it for $100,000 .. what would you have been doing when you became aware 17 months ago of the signing of 2,000 tonne of the product you mine being locked up at $2,000/t?
Choices
a. do nothing and fall asleep (denial)
b. kick the dog in the guts and shout at the kiddies? (anger)
c. pray seeking divine intervention (depression)
d. stop being mad and get even and sabotage the deal and secure it for my yourself -whatever it takes (bargaining)
e. realise you missed out, missed your chance (acceptance) ... return to b. or f.
f. you still have 7 months to fiddle a deal - go have a chat with the Chinese. Go to g.
g. you are a typical Aussie, she'll be alright on the night mate. Stop beating yourself up and have a beer. Go to a.
