Can anyone explain to me where the 'Recoveries' come in?

We mind the tailing's slush with a grade of 2.92%, does that 1.39Mt of slush then go into the 'recoveries' section at ~50%?
I don't think that's it

I just can't seem to get 37,500 from 1,390,000 using the figures (2.92% mined, grade of 48.3% and recoveries of 50%) given to me no matter what order I put them into an equation. I have to be missing something and I think it's the fundamental understanding of how something like this works!
