With the amount of non-deliverable paper gold out there, the ability to buy or short gold far beyond its supply constraints is unlimited - so it might be reasonable to go the next thought, that maybe it serves the central banks of the world to keep stamping the life out of gold, simply to keep the genie of their worthless currencies in the box ... it's interesting how utterly demoralised gold-bugs have become with all the shocking downward spikes ... they sell at the slightest breath of a possible correction now ... so it's getting to the point where, though I'm usually a skeptic, I'm beginning to entertain the possibility of manipulation.
