I have just viewed the playback of the above MSV quarterly Update. To say that it was of a poor standard would be overstating the obvious !After a career in Defence and Communications, I would have thought that an organization such as yours, would have been far better organised and more professional, especially when recording a webinar that can be viewed by anyone at any time in the future. The personnel from MSV were professional and polished and vocals were clear and unambiguous. Their knowledge was undoubted. The same cannot be said for Bridge Street Capital Partners. The seating of the interviewers was poorly laid out and their mixed mode of dress would not have been out of place watching the cricket. Surely one could have had all interviewers behind the one table and on the same side instead of two either side of the board table and one at the far end ?Dress for the occasion would seem to be largely variable with no attempt to make an impression of professionalism for the company or display a common standard of dress appropriate to business professionals. The sound from Bridge Street Partners offices was muffled and indistinct, not surprising when the microphone was perhaps in the middle of the table, and the primary interviewer was facing the camera and screen approximately 90 degrees from the microphone. The sound was bad enough without the interviewer frequently having his hand covering his mouth making the questions even less clear.I don’t know when the viewers questions were received, but the primary interviewer obviously had a significant problem reading them ; indicated by his excessive squinting and halting reading when attempting to convey the question from the screen to MSV management.I think the issue of subtitles should be a paragraph on their own. They were in every sense, a debacle !Completely out of context, inaccurate and obviously not proofread prior to the release of the webinar. A hearing handicapped viewer would not have had a clue what was being spoken, or even what the subject matter would have been about !I don’t often critique presentations from professionals, because they are usually just that… professional! But when I see something of such poor quality being produced and distributed in the public domain, for viewing by shareholders of a company supposedly being “promoted” by your organisation, I felt compelled to give a frank, honest and open assessment of your presentation so that you (hopefully) can raise your standards for the next presentation.
