"Why did CGT & BSM go down? Were they producing?
I don't know about CGT but BSM went down due to poor recoveries it was mining a deposit of copper zinc and lead in NW Tasmania , when the plant optimised recoveries from copper (via flotation) then the zinc and lead recoveries suffered ,however when it got good recoveries of zinc and lead then copper recoveries suffered.
Also the mine had a purched water table thus high costs in removing water from the mine
PGI,s problems seem fixable in comparison, as seem based on a historic lack of cranial synapse capacity , amplified by having management in OZ and a mine on the other side of the world it does seem to be a luxury that should not be allowed to perpetuate IMHO.
