they were never out of the picture. US sanctions were always against named individuals and entities, not against Zimbabwe. US companies were always free to conduct business in the country.
i see the verbiage as a bit of spin. The list of sanctioned individuals was greatly reduced, and that’s good. But the President is still on the list.
in any event, there has been nothing preventing them from engaging with Invictus in Zimbabwe, if they choose to do so.
