Kambalda-style deposits are hosted by lava extruded about 2.7 billion years ago. The sulfide accumulations in the base of channel flow zones crystallize and have been through alot of deformation since, including multiple generations of folding. The folding has the potential to mechanically remobilise/thicken the sulfide accumulation into the hinge zone.
the ‘inferred closure’ is just a result of there not being much outcrop, and geophysics (magnetics) is used to interpret the stratigraphic and structural framework, until some drillholes provide factual data.
