Not sure where the rumours of open hole drill stem testing have come from. A high risk operation compared to cased hole testing....especially given we have a hole that undergoes time dependent deterioration. All you'd need is a delay getting a test string free and out of the hole following an open hole test and you could end up leaving a test string in the hole.
