They seem to be drilling and mining a long way down in one of their mines. About 2 KM as far as I can tell. Is this why despite the supposed high grade of some ore bodies they are not profitable. Is the SBM story a bit like CTO, except they have managed to sink $500 million in SBM?
I liked SBM's most recent presentation, but the latest quarterly outcome has been too far from plan. Imagine if overall input costs were back to early 2008 levels. what the cash cost would blow out to.
Gold at $US2000 will fix all of SMS's problems, I suppose.
