I am wondering if the BPT board are considering increasing the dividend from 1c to 2c this past and/or coming half.
It would make a good headline 'Beach energy doubles dividend'
With 2.3billion shares on issue, an extra cent dividend per share equals only approximately $23million vash outflow per half.
BPT has net cash of $73 million, liquidity of $650m, stable gas cashflows, strong oil prices and a growth profile that is making progress and now cash (eg Offshore Vic).
They will have to increase the dividend at some point given it is at such a low base, it is just a matter of when.
