Do you think when the Junta start to see the cashflow that will incentivise them to play by the rules, or on the flip side realise what an absolute cash cow they have been given with no financial input of their own & dig in even further to gain all for themselves…?? I think if you discount the latter you are simply being foolish.

Even with our Chinese partner these ‘negotiations’ have gone on far too long to be civil & mutually beneficial IMO.

As an investor I was always told to allow for the absolute worst case scenarios, not pie in the sky hopes & dreams.

Of course I hope for the best possible outcome. But I’m not blind to the increasingly likely alternatives.

absolutely, the negotiations are about how much money we need to pay the personal accounts of the corrupt junta generals and their families. Let’s close everything. Don’t do anything else in that basket case. It is unlikely the junta will last much longer. As for Mali it may split into different regions. Expensive lesson, never invest in Africa.
