This topic was one I addressed with Simon in a phone conversation with him and Len.

I basically asked why they didn't do a placement / capital raise for funds versus selling a further 5% to Ganfeng.

Although I had a fair idea why they didn't, the bottom line was it was the best option given overall market conditions, LLL's status, they Company's inability to disclose enough information to satisfy investors, the need for quick funds if required as they were confident there will be a settlement in the coming weeks.

FYI: Company's have the ability to raise funds via capital raises even when in suspension!
