Perhaps... but iron ore was not a critical ingredient in an unfolding massive energy disruption - what is just starting to unfold is a global shift the likes of which we have not seen in our lifetime. It is unstoppable now - EVs and stationary energy storage, currently based predominantly on lithium-based cells, and likely to be for at least another decade.

Battery metals is where it's at imo. The emerging "next best thing'. I see your point about having all eggs in one basket, but we are not even beginning to boom yet. Perhaps in 7-10 years from now...
