I am of the thinking you are on the right track with your current view point and thinking. JL has IMO priced himself out of the consulting market. He is lacking in skills needed to go forward. His having left FMC to be an advisor/consultant starting his own company was an okay move for a couple years. Now I am of the thinking he is out of the loop...the inside loop which has passed him by as a free-man. He is riding on a have-been middle-man horse.

As for Galaxy with James Bay...I'd sell it and get rid of that Northern land and use proceeds for SDV. Keep fund raising as much as possible. Hollywood Tony missed the chance to do so a couple years ago. Now James Bay is an ice berg with a cost waterline so deep it's just a titanic lost.
