a) i dont work for TER. You need to go ask the board, not here on Hot Copper, why they did or didn't do something
b) i have no idea why they made the decision to pay an unfranked dividend.
c) it is clear you don't understand corporate tax or how to read financial statements if you continue to believe that 2022 FY was not a taxable year
d) The 2022 income tax return was in a taxable/payable position based on the information in the 2022 and 2023 financial statements.
e) at no stage should my facts be used by you or others in determining why the company did or didn't do something. i was simply trying to answer your original question (below) as to why they paid $64 million in income tax during the six months to 31 December 2023. You have since gone off the rails trying to discuss something that you clearly don't want to understand and unwilling to do any of your own research. there really is no point for me to continue trying to convince you of anything more, as they say don't play chess with a pigeon, it'll just knock over the pieces, poop all over the board and then strut around like it won the game
