As a BDC holder, I am actually looking forward to inheriting SBM stock. Note that Simberi has cost plenty the past six months and why net profit has been very low, however, with Simberi coming back on line and set to produce say 65,000 ozs for say $162m this half, profit fortunes should see a significant turnaround. Also, despite all the challenges, they are forecasting production across the board of around 320,000 ozs for FY22 and AISC of around $1700, for an operational surplus of say $224m. It suggests to me that we will see strong share price appreciation moving into FY23, all things being equal, because FY23 guidance should be stronger than FY22.
