I'm a little surprised here (and I agreed with you @CaptainFantasy on east coast pending "crisis")
STO in their Q2 Qtrly noted East Coast Domestic gas at US$7.74 ... which at FX 0.7 = ~$11.05/GJ
COE are noting $8.38/GJ which is ~25% than what STO is getting.
So where's this $12/GJ BS than the Albo and his mates bang on about.
"In December 2022, the Australian Government’s Gas Market Emergency Price Order introduced a temporary price cap of $12 per gigajoule (GJ) that principally applies to gas sold by east coast and Northern Territory gas producers and their affiliates to wholesale customers in Australia. The price cap will apply for 12 months."
That wont be a annualized average price thats for sure not. COE is not ripping off anyone. Turn the taps off. Sell only contracted gas. These market interventions deserve to fail.
