Totally understand that they need to release info to the market. They have released info saying they are in confidential informal discussions with a number of parties. AT would know how these discussions are heading and as he gets closer to the formal part of these negotiations he would understand an approximate time frame. I have no doubt that he would never manipulate the time frame for negotiations for share price games, but he can bring the quarterly out early.

We all want the funding and offtake agreement to come out but the last thing on AT's mind will be short-timers who "have bought in anticipation of the Deal being done sooner than later"

On your other point, if there is a (big) pull back in the SP due to AT getting the best deal he can find, that is just bad luck to all of those that are too impatient and sold.

I agree we are all getting a little impatient, but it is what it is and most here trust management to look after us.

What I should have pointed out is there is a possibility that any "Deal" may not be done or maybe pushed forward into the "future".

But the situation atm has been magnified by the AFR article which brought out into the open that a deal had already been supposedly done.

To which as you point out the CEO? stated the talks are only informal atm

Does/did the AFR article influence Buyers? Short or long term.

Theres been miles of speculation since the AFR article on HCopper about what could be as far as a Deal with a Car Maker etc is concerned.

With the AFR sticking its head out with the article, theres a big gap now between continuing talks/ negotiations, a future done deal or talks ending with no deal.

I suggest the Market has to some degree factored in a Deal being done and awaits details for evaluation.(if and when).

If the talks fail or are put on hold. The Market will react. It doesn't bother me as long as I am aware of the situation as it happens!

Many a time I've seen a Company's shareprice take a hit... then ...that Company releases bad news when the horse has already bolted.

Again I say think about what the AFR article has done here!
