Will lithium be a "thing"?

As the AUD continues to fall and oil prices continue to rise, with increasing tensions in the Middle East, petrol prices will continue to rise and we could be paying $2 a litre for fuel by the end of the year. People are going to be paying $120 a week to fill up the car.

What if fuel prices go to $3 or $4 a litre in the next 5-10 years? $240 a week to fill the tank?

I just came back from Japan & some servos there are charging $2.30 AUD a litre. This is happening now, this is the reality for many people around the world & it soon will be for us too.

I hate to say it but I want petrol prices as high as possible, because the more pain experienced by consumers now the more they will seek out and demand cheap alternatives of which there is only one.
