'years' can mean "a couple of years" as you stated.

Nethertheless it will not be "months" or a "year" as others have suggested!

Sure China want UCG and clean coal technologies to succeed and many companies in that industry have been applying their trade over their for years in different projects.

Sometimes or in fact most times the length of one of these projects can take the longest at the start. Finding a suitable site, getting approvals, and off-take agreement, environmental approvals etc and of course funding.

Funding is no easy thing to work out in this day and age.

Will the project be financially beneficial to Cougar?

What structure will the funding take between the JV companies?

Cougar can apply their UCG trade anywhere but at the end of the day if they haven't got a situation where they can monetise their work, well the investment community will only support them to a certain level imo.

Cougar have taken 4+ years to get to where they are now with their Kingaroy site.
