I'll bet that the company is Santos. There are 3 big companies operating 6 LNG trains in Gladstone for export. Two are somewhere between neutral and positive in the amount of gas they are producing from their own gas fields....that is to say they don't have to buy third party gas to meet their export requirements. But Santos is the one who came up way short in gas production from their own gas fields and is sucking the life out of third party supply for export purposes......But with Malcolm Turnbull announcing his Australia first policy regarding domestic gas supply yesterday I was thinking about how this puts Santos in a real predicament. The only solution is more local gas production for east coast consumption. I reckon Santos will be putting dibs on any gas they can get their hands on.
