That the board fails to mention the suspension of trading for the last few months, public knowledge, is disrespectful of ASX shareholders. This is a further erosion of trust.
The ASX's Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations lists 8 principles of good governance. Principle 6 reads: "Respect the rights of security holders: A listed entity should provide its security holders with appropriate information and facilities to allow them to exercise their rights as security holders effectively."
Hard to see how a board that cannot communicat effectoively and is unable to resolve matters with ASEAN in Australia will be able to manage in Mauritiania. It's time to change.
