I wrote a letter to the editor at SMH about exactly the same thing on cars and electricity production in Australia a year ago when he got in. Not published. But, they happily published my letter on a parking fine I sent them at the same time.

I think the marketing on gases green potential in Australia to the general public is more than poor. I also think Uranium is an option we need to develop in Australia but our heads are stuck in the sand with Chernoby!. Governments need to educate and lead by example. At least Rudd is making some moves, albeit not wanting to be seen rocking the financial boat.
