@Mutley8 ........."I’d hate to state the obvious.....maybe it’s not their line of business?"

LOL, you are a laugh a minute!! Let' see the company that is going to buy and use cobalt, you are trying to claim that "maybe it's not their line of business".

It begs the question of who in WFE is the expert in the cobalt processing/business?? None identified in BOD in the bios.
I'd assume that people that are in the using Cobalt all the time are a lot more "in the line of business" than a group with no experience in either processing or use.

@Mutley8 ....."They don’t have the connections in DRC to get such an opportunity"

LOL, just as funny, the people with money that have been buying using cobalt, you expect wouldn't have the contacts in the DRC. Then there is always the DRC connections would always prefer to do business with those who have no assets nor cash backing (WFE) instead of those with the cash and existing businesses . You are very funny tonight!!

@Mutley8 .........."The JV has a processing plant valued by METS at $33M as is!"

How do you keep forgetting that WFE own 0% of that plant?? WFE have to come up with $US5.5M, then pay for the refurbishment, and hand over boat loads of shares as well, at stages to get 50% of that plant.

So NO that is not an example of someone handing over $Ms to a company with no collateral nor cash. If that is as close as you can get, then you obviously cannot come up with any examples of anyone that has achieved such a thing.

BTW this mob better get their deal done ASAP because cobalt might not be a big part of the EV revolution after all. A 100kwh NMC 811 battery needs just 8.5kg in the cathode, which multiplied out means the huge requirement of VW by 2025 of 150Gwh of Li batteries will need just 12,750t of Cobalt.

However Svolt, the offshoot battery maker from Great Wall, are using a 4 metal NMC battery which halves again the use of cobalt, plus the NMx battery that uses NO cobalt!!

It kind of help explains why cobalt price has fallen so hard with no-one bothering to stock up plenty at low prices.
