Hello xxxxxx
Ian Hobson forwarded me your inquiry. I have been travelling this week so delayed in responding.
You are broadly right with your assumption, but I need to clarify a couple of points.
- DSA are a government funded agency comprising 200 specialist consultants who provide a specific support service for people living with dementia in any environment. DSA are also part of Hammondcare one of the leading aged care and home care service provider. Our current agreement is with DSA only but we hope to extend it to the broader Hammondcare group in the future.
- DSA have their own bespoke database/CRM system to capture all their consultants visits and document the diagnosis, assessments and treatments as is standard practise within aged care and healthcare in general. We are now working with DSA to incorporate PainChek™ into their database/CRM to also automatically store the pain score results. This will automate the documentation, allow for aggregation of data and hopefully lead to a better understanding of pain scores and related treatment benefits.
- Part of our overall strategy is to incorporate PainChek™ into all providers of backend clinical systems to provide the same benefits to all customers. There are 3-4 major clinical system providers in Australia who supply 80% + of the Australian aged care market and we are in advanced talks with one and opened talks with two others. This was also mentioned in the earlier section of the recent quarterly update.
So in summary our goal is to incorporate PainChek™ into all clinical systems so the results will be automatically available throughout their aged care or hospital facilities. And as you pointed out, this can provide additional cost benefit and automation/documentation benefits in addition to the clinical outcome benefits.
Hope this helps clarify the point.
Kind regards,
Philip
