We've all had one (or two) of those in our portfolio from time to time and I learned he hard way too. I held on to one even worse than EXL (which shall remain nameless) and that's where I think I learned to spot where EXL was headed. Glad to hear you have used EXL as a learning experience and even though it hurts, I'm pretty sure it was a good feeling you got when that big red line and the feelings of shame associated with it disappeared from your portfolio so you could move on.
