You're right, to a point. The buy / sell spread is only a short term indicator. The huge difference is that APT profit takers are selling down while the "gettin's good" while the broader market believes this negative phase will blow over. The interim bottom for APT looks like about $81. OPY on the other hand has more losers than winners. The only holders in the green now are the sub $1 crowd from March last year. I don't hold the view it's doomed, but may reach a very low bottom then jump like a coiled spring. Right now, those instos are a lead balloon.
