In simplistic terms, my understanding is that the amount of tonnes from CSA for the zinc they have spare and cannot process might only be 100kt p.a to start with, so I feel like that quickly mutes anything to do with the trucks coming back empty. 100kt just is not a big deal. I agree, MAC wanted the water, but... they could have easily just gone for that, but they didn't.
Then... POL is only initially planning to use 850kt of their plant throughput (350kt p.a will be idle), AMI does not have any spare capacity right now (other than Hera but that is likely to be used for other ventures into the future, AMI seems laser focused on Fed), nor will it for... who knows when the plant upgrade will be completed and running at full nameplate.
I don't see the 4% royalty as being a deal breaker at all, nor the processing costs, AMI would not do it for free.
MAC may well have a crack at AMI into the future, or tomorrow, we will see.
There are clear synergies to be had with all 3 plants (4 sort of) so close together and in time, it seems logical to bring them together, but... when that might happen is unclear, as again, like I said all 3 companies are at very different stages. In the short term, I would prefer to see nothing change, as really, all 3 companies are quite different, and... I hold 2 of the 3 for different reasons (exposure to silver (POL) versus AMI and it's asset rich balance sheet).
If some prefer not to read out discussions, that is their choice I guess.
