We've been down that road with buybacks previously. It's not a good idea for a company that should be expanding.
Last time we did a buyback everyone's celebrations were short-lived when the company dipped back into a capital raise within 12months. I don't think the share price even responded positively last time (only very short term). Then everyone realizes it only means less money in the coffers to generate growth.
I'll always preference they hold the cash and spend it in the right places (my opinion). Nothing wrong with holding cash too if there's nothing to spend it on.
