Financial engineering. Every company that Macquarie has inspired has been financial engineered. TCL today is the great example. Any infrastructure type project requires vast capital to start. So it has to be financially engineered. And so yield is the carrot. The sting is in the debt. The debt has to be serviced. The question before NEW is, can the debt be serviced. I think it can. NEW is busy stabilising the balance sheet. Overall there is a cloud of mistrust around NEW because of its association with DIXON Advisory and the ASIC case coming up. EP1 the manager of nEW is under a takeover and this will cloud the issue for maybe two years. For me NEW is in a great space, provides my divy, and will come through.

The selling last week was determined and persistent. NEW does have long standing enemies. The quarterly report was a catalogue of disasters with inverters. Management estimates were wildly off. I get all that. But the thing that keeps me in is the prominence renewables are getting now and will get. This is a great space. The incomptence of NEW cannot kill it.
